Wayward Pines returns tonight for a second season on FOX following the surprising success of the show’s original limited series outing last year.
In the season one finale Ethan (Matt Dillon) sacrificed himself to save his family leaving his wife Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) and son Ben (Charlie Tahan) behind in the artificial town created by Pilcher (Toby Jones). The action moved three years into the future and Ben woke up in hospital to find that the First Generation had taken control.
The new season features a handful of returning actors including Carla Gugino, Toby Jones, Melissa Leo, Charlie Tahan, Tom Stevens and Hope Davis along with new cast members Jason Patric, Nimrat Kaur, Josh Helman, Kacey Rohl and Djimon Hounsou.
The first episode of the new season is Enemy Lines. Three years have passed and Wayward Pines has been taken over by the first generation…Kids. In the middle of a civil war, Theo is woken up to be the one and only doctor in town.
