The X Factor 2014 will wave goodbye to two acts this weekend it has been confirmed and there’s a twist.
As well as the sing-off on Sunday night, the act who receives the lowest votes during Saturday’s show will depart the competition straight away. The shock twist is said to be a wake-up call for the contestants after a some lacklustre performances.
Earlier this week Simon called a meeting with the contestants where he told them:
āThereās going to be another double elimination again this weekend, and the difference is this week is there is going to be a twist. And the twist is, on the Saturday, the person with the lowest vote is going to leave the show. No Sing Off, just whoever is in the bottom is out. And there’s a Sing Off on Sunday. So there are no second chances. This is how important the conversation is now and how important the performance is on Saturday and Sunday. We decided to do this because I think you all need a bit of a wake up call.”
Last week Jake Quickenden left the competition after losing the sing-off to Only The Young. Both acts performed poorly in both the live show and the results show with Simon telling them their sing-off performances were also poor.
The X Factor 2014 continues at 8pm tomorrow night on ITV.
