The second episode of Wayward Pines left us with our jaw on the floor thanks to that shocking end.
Beverly (Juliette Lewis) was executed by Pope (Terrence Howard) in front of the whole town after accidentally taking about her past during a dinner party with Ethan (Matt Dillon) at Kate’s (Carla Gugino). She tried to escape from the town who were alerted to the fact that she’d broken one of the rules but she couldn’t out-run them.
Elsewhere in the episode Ethan found a journal whilst investigating Evan’s remains containing a map of the town. He planned to escape with Beverly once they removed their trackers. Meanwhile Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) and Ben (Charlie Tahan) set out for Idaho to find Ethan.
The next episode of the season is Our Town, Our Law. Kate’s participation in a heinous act leaves Ethan stunned; Ben and Theresa continue their search.
