The wait is over as the John Lewis 2017 Christmas advert is airing for the first time tonight.
You can watch the whole thing before it officially airs though as the advert has been released online. The song this year is a cover of The Beatles’ Golden Slumbers by Elbow.

This year’s advert was teased with #UnderTheBed on social media and sneak peek clips appearing on Instagram. It was directed by film-maker Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and cost around Ā£7 million to make.
The advert tells the story of Joe, who is frightened of the monster, Moz, that lives under his bed. Moz’s behaviour interrupts Joe’s sleep in the run up to Christmas, although he means the boy absolutely no harm.
The story continues to unfold as Joe and Moz become friends, and Joe keeps the monster a secret, but on Christmas morning it looks like Moz has disappeared for good…
You’ll have to watch the advert to see the emotional ending as we don’t want to give anything away!
The John Lewis Christmas advert has become an annual event with TV viewers counting down the days until the ad debuts. The accompanying songs often go on to top the charts so the pressure is on for Elbow this year.
The advert will air on TV for the first time tonight during Gogglebox on Channel 4.
