True Detective kicked off in the UK tonight on Sky Atlantic and it looks like the show is going to be a slow burner.
Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey certainly bring star power to the show as former detective partners Hart and Cohle. The first episode established a bit of back story as the warring former partners were called in to help with a murder that was reminiscent of a case they worked on in 1995.
The second episode of the series, Seeing Things, sees Cohle and Hart continue to investigate the murder of prostitute Dora Kelly Lange as they find out she had found religion and moved to a trailer park.
