Tim Wonnacott leaves Strictly Come Dancing 2014

Tim Wonnacott became the third celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2014 tonight.

The Bargain Hunt presenter and his partner Natalie Lowe ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard during last night’s live show after failing to impress with their Paso Doble. They found themselves in the bottom two with Mark Wright and Karen Hauer which was another big shock following Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff ending up in the bottom two last week.

Both couples danced again to try and secure their place in the competition. Once they had danced it was over to the judges to save one of the couples. The judges all voted to save Mark and Karen.

Talking about his departure Tim said, ā€œItā€™s a great treat to be on a programme like Strictly. For an old geezer like me, who comes along in his 64th year and heā€™s slightly portly, and he thinks heā€™s a bit over the hill, this last month, with this delightful teacher, has taken me to a very special place. I am fitter, I am a better person than I was a month ago as a result of this experience and I cannot tell you what a wonderful thing this whole programme is so I commend you all and thank-you. I would like to say what a treat itā€™s been. Thank you very much, and thank you to my lovely Nat.ā€

Asked if they were going to continue dancing, Tim said, ā€œDefinitely! Iā€™m going to move to Australia! No, itā€™s been a treat and a real enhancing experience so you canā€™t ask for more, really. And thank-you so much to everyone who has supported us. Thank-you.ā€

Tonight’s results show featured a performance from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett and was opened with another stunning group dance from the pros.

Strictly Come Dancing will continue on Saturday 25th October at 18:30, with the results show on Sunday 26th October at 19:20 on BBC One and BBC One HD. Check out all the action from tonight’s results show in our gallery:
