Threads with Reece Dinsdale at Square Chapel

“It’s impossible to put into words how brilliant Threads is. We can’t recommend it highly enough.” – Entertainment Focus review.

With a warm and cosy Christmas around the corner and pantomime dominating the theatre circuit, Square Chapel Arts Centre presents a remastered showing of one of the most sobering, chilling and landmark pieces of drama ever produced.

Barry Hines’ Threads was broadcast by BBC Television in 1984 and brought the horrific reality of nuclear war into the living rooms of millions across the country. The desolate imagery made a huge impact and the documentary research was factually and brutally accurate.

On 2nd December, Threads will be presented in its recently remastered format at Square Chapel Arts Centre, with a follow-up Q&A from actor Reece Dinsdale.

“I remember seeing Threads when I was 14/15 years old,” explains host Iain Lee. “It totally messed me up for years to come. So I can’t wait to come and see this fantastic venue I’ve heard so much about and to see a film which has haunted me for years, with one of its stars.”

Threads is at Square Chapel Arts Centre on Sunday 2nd December 2018 at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £8, with an age restriction of 15+. Book online at squarechapel.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01422 349 422.
