The Greatest Dancer episode 4 preview – the callbacks begin!

The Greatest Dancer finished the audition rounds on Saturday night but not before a host of new talent showcased their skills.

Dance school friends Harry and Eleiyah wowed the Captains – Matthew Morrison, Cheryl and Oti Mabuse – with their contemporary routine as they opened the show. They were an easy vote for the audience too who wasted no time putting them through to the callbacks.

One of the episode’s most controversial moments came when hopeful Wei was voted through by the audience but the Captains weren’t impressed. He freestyled to a medley of Ed Sheehan and Jax Jones and the Captains were lost for words. When they did eventually find them, host Alesha Dixon had to cover Wei’s ears so he couldn’t hear the damning comments.

Elsewhere pocket-rocket Shyla floored the judges and 80-year-old Barbara charmed her way through.

The episode ended with same-sex couple Santra and Piia from Finland who jived their way through to the next stage of the competition. Their performance was so infectious that Cheryl and Oti got up on stage and jived together before pairing with the couple to continue dancing.

This Saturday the competition moves on to the callbacks. The Dance Captains finally get their chance to pick three acts each to take through to the live challenge shows.
