Claire (Antonia Thomas) was assigned to work with Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) on the case of a teenage girl whose parents believed she was making up her symptoms on the latest episode of The Good Doctor.
Fighting for the girl to be believed, Claire suggested exploratory surgery and discovered that the patient had a piece of Lego in her lung. The foreign object had caused an immune response, making the girl sick for years.
Meanwhile Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) treated a violinist with flesh-eating bacteria. Morgan refused to believe Shaun’s diagnosis and her hesitation led to them having to amputate the girl’s arm.
Elsewhere Shaun and Lea (Paige Spara) struggled with their new living arrangement and Glassman (Richard Schiff) lost his confidence, forcing Debbie (Sheila Kelley) away.
The next episode of the season is Hubert. Dr Murphy and Dr Reznick must deal with two brothers who are bargaining over life and death. Dr Brown’s friend who is dying of cancer asks her for something she doesn’t think she can give her; Dr Glassman deals with the effects of his treatment.
