Supergirl, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and more renewed by The CW

Supergirl, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow lead a slate of renewals from The CW.

The DC superhero shows will be returning for seasons 4, 5, 4 and 7 respectively. Also renewed is new DC addition Black Lightning, which premiered earlier this year so don’t be surprised if that show gets in on the crossover action later in the year.

Outside of the superhero slate, the network has renewed the long-running Supernatural for season 14, meaning it will pass the 300 episode milestone, and the buzzy Riverdale will be back for season 3.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has been renewed for a fourth and final season, and Jane the Virgin will be back for season 5, which is though to be the show’s last.

The most surprising of the renewals is Dynasty, which has struggled to find an audience. The show airs on Netflix outside of the US so it could be that streaming in the international market has saved the show.

There is currently no word on iZombie, Life Sentence, The 100 or Valor yet but we’d be very surprised if the low-rated and poorly received Life Sentence was given another season or the poor performing Valor.
