The last time we saw Supergirl (not including the Arrowverse crossover) she was fired from the DEO.
The mid-season finale saw Kara (Melissa Benoist) stopping Manchester Black (David Ajala) from killing Ben Lockwood’s (Sam Witwer) wife. Manchester had a tense confrontation with Ben and it was Nia (Nicole Maines), and her emerging powers, that helped Brainy (Jesse Rath) and Kara put a stop to the situation.
Ben was sent to prison along with Manchester but it didn’t look like Ben was planning on staying in there for too long.
Elsewhere the President demanded Supergirl reveal her secret identity to the world. When she refused, she was fired and forced to leave the DEO.
The next episode is Suspicious Minds. When Supergirl angers Col. Haley by refusing to be told what to do, Haley refocuses her energy on learning Supergirl’s true identity. Brainiac-5 encourages Nia to embrace her powers.
