Supergirl seemingly took a few steps back in the latest episode of the show after the fourth episode was shown out of order.
Due to the Paris attacks, the decision was made to switch episodes 4 and 5 meaning that the continuity was a little bit off. In the latest episode Kara (Melissa Benoist) offered to babysit for Cat’s (Calista Flockhart) son unaware that he was a big fan of her alter-ego Supergirl.
Pulled between her duty to save the city and look after Cat’s son, Kara as pulled away when bombs were planted across National City. After managing to diffuse the situation and save Cat’s son, Kara realised that Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli) had been able to stop the bombings and suspected he was up to something more sinister than he was letting on.
Elsewhere in the episode Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum) fought to save her relationship with Jimmy (Mechad Brooks) and after she got caught up in the bombings, they decided to rekindle their romance.
The next episode of the season is Red Faced. Stress gets the better of Kara when she pushes herself too far during a training exercise against military cyborg Red Tornado.
