Yay! Someone else vouching for Scottie ! tired of people on the internet dissing Scottie and arguing for Donna-Harvey.

I’m completely with you. I love Donna but don’t want to see her end up with Harvey.

You can’t be trusted to have opinions.

Hmmm you have some great points! No more mergers and needing a back story for Jessica and Donna, in particular. But I don’t agree with the Mike/Rachel and Harvey/Scottie craving. Mike and Rachel are wonderful characters, but they are the worst versions of themselves when they are together. The same applies to Harvey and Scottie – more so, in fact, as Scottie does not just water down and flatten Harvey’s character, but also has made him a cheater in the past without his knowledge, which was one moral that meant something to him.

Mike will be getting a new potential love interest this season named Amy, played by Melanie Papalia. That may be interesting, though I would be fine with him and Rachel progressing in their storyline without romance.

Harvey and Donna have had the most believable romantic build up out of all the pairings, and they have fantastic chemistry and angst, so I assume they will be doing more with that eventually, which I would be more than ok with. 🙂

Thanks for a great article! Just wanted to share an alternative opinion.

Thanks for taking the time to read the article and respond. I’m sure a Harvey/Donna end-game is what the writers are angling for. Personally I prefer him with Scottie but I take your points on board completely. Interesting to hear Mike will be getting a new love interest. I guess being out of the firm is going to open his eyes to a lot of new things. Can’t wait!

I think the show did try to give some sense to the Harvey/Scottie storyline but failed. The whole thing ended up in a mediocre way, in my opinion. So, I don’t think they are a perfect match. More like a mistake the writers probably realized and try to fix along the way.
No more Scottie for me until they find a better storyline for her that doesn’t include her so-called “love” for Harvey!

While Harvey and Donna have intense and beautiful scenes, great acting and great chemistry. Their relationship is the strongest of the show and it gives a good idea of what “commitment” truly is. What’s not to love?

I think you’re right with Scottie. I think once she was bought into the firm it’s like the writers just didn’t know what to do with her and they made her this neurotic character that simply couldn’t have had a future with Harvey. She lost her strength and her identity a little bit. I do love Harvey and Donna’s scenes but I’m just not quite down with them getting together just yet.
