Most of the episode revolved around Section 20 trying to track down a drug lord called Zaza (Chris Obi). He had stolen the nukes but was pretty much untouchable.
Coltrane (Jamie Bamber) called in a favour from a contact of his, DEA agent Lauren Gillespie (Victoria Smurfit). She knew the area and suggested they take out Zaza’s relay stations. That way he’d have to use radio comms which they could monitor.
Eventually they tracked down his number two and Mac (Warren Brown) and Wyatt (Dan MacPherson) were sent to bring him in. However, Gillespie made a deal for Wyatt to kill him. Mac became suspicious and confided in Novin (Alin Sumarwata).
After finding out the nukes were to be sold to al-Shabaab for $20 million, the team intercepted the buyer. While trying to bring her in she ended up in a fight with Novin and died of an accidental stab wound. Coltrane decided to send Novin to the meet in her place and Chetri (Varada Sethu) created a device that would steal the nuke location from Zaza. After getting most of the data they fled to rendezvous with Coltrane.
Elsewhere in the episode, Colonel Beshnov (Marek Vasut) arrived in Myanmar and was met by Pavel (Alec Newman). Beshnov was sure that Zarkova (Yasemin Allen) was Kingfisher but at the end of the episode he realised she wasn’t. It turned out to be Pavel and he killed Beshnov.
In the sixth episode, the team try to escape the wrath of the vengeful drug warlord Zaza, while recovering the suitcase nuke. Split up across a jungle, a prison, and a dangerous shanty town, they must reunite and launch an assault on Zaza’s compound.
