Strictly Come Dancing confirms professional dancers for 2019 series

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One this autumn and the professional dancer line-up has just been confirmed.

The 17th series will see the return of pros AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Anton Du Beke, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Janette Manrara, Johannes Radebe, Karen Clifton, Katya Jones, Kevin Clifton, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones and Oti Mabuse.

It was previously announced that Pasha Kovalev would not be returning after he made the decision to leave the show.

Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios, says: ā€œWe are delighted that this yearā€™s line-up of professional dancers for Strictly Come Dancing is full of familiar faces and fan favourites. This amazing cast of incredibly talented world class professional dancers have provided Strictly with some of its most memorable moments over the years and with more exciting announcements to come, plus world renowned choreographer Jason Gilkison also returning to the team, Strictly 2019 promises to continue to wow viewers with unforgettable performances as we welcome this dazzling line up of pros back to the ballroom.ā€

It’s not clear yet which of the 17 dancers will be partnered with celebrity contestants but that news will be announced in the coming months.

The 2018 series of Strictly saw Stacey Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton lift the glitterball trophy.
