Stereo Kicks leave The X Factor 2014

Stereo Kicks was the latest act to leave The X Factor 2014.

The 8-piece boyband found themselves in the bottom two against Lauren Platt.

Lauren was up first in the sing-off and she performed I Know Where I’ve Been from Hairspray. Stereo Kicks followed with a performance of Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up. Once both had performed it was over to the judges to decide who they wanted to send home.

Louis chose to send home Lauren. Mel B chose to send home Lauren and apologised to Cheryl as soon as she made her decision. Cheryl chose to stick with her act Lauren and sent home Stereo Kicks. She also got a dig in at Mel B who has criticised Stereo Kicks every week yet chose to save them tonight. Simon said that Lauren sang the best and chose to send home Stereo Kicks.

That took the vote to deadlock and Dermot O’Leary revealed that Stereo Kicks were leaving the competition.

The musical guests tonight were Queen + Adam Lambert, who performed with the contestants, Union J and Ella Henderson.

The X Factor 2014 continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV as the remaining acts battle it out for their place in the final.
