Former EastEnders star Sean Maguire is to star in the new season of Once Upon a Time.
TVLine reports that Maguire will take on the role of Robin Hood, originally played by Tom Ellis, when the show returns for a third season. Tom Ellis was unable to reprise the role due to schedule conflicts so Maguire has been cast for a new arc set to play out when the show returns.
Robin Hood was first seen in the season 2 episode Lacey which revolved around Emilie de Ravin’s character Belle.
As well as EastEnders TV viewers will know Maguire from the short-lived US comedy The Class and UK shows Scott & Baily and Bedlam.
