Olivia (Kerry Washington) discovered that Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) had imprisoned Jake (Scott Foley) after believing that he had murdered his son in the latest episode of Scandal.
The Key saw Olivia fall for her father’s (Joe Morton) lies as he convinced her that Jake was behind the murder of Fitz’s son. When Jake refused to admit to the murder, Fitz beat him hoping that violence would get him the confession he was desperate for.
Elsewhere in the episode OPA continued to investigate Catherine’s (Sonya Walger) case and discovered that her daughter had swallowed a key which was the next clue as to why she was murdered; Quinn (Katie Lowes) made the gruesome discovery. Meanwhile Huck (Guillermo Diaz) stalked his ex-wife but she still refused to let him see his son.
The next episode of the season is An Innocent Man. While Olivia defends a convicted assassin, Mellie bonds with a former first lady.
