The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge (previously Sanderson) is the first celebrity confirmed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2014.
The announcement was made this morning during an appearance on BBC Breakfast where she appeared with her bandmates. The 25-year-old is currently promoting The Saturdays’ new greatest hits release Finest Selection.
“I’m such a huge fan of Strictly! I’ve always wanted to be a part of the show – it looks like so much fun and the costumes are just gorgeous” said Frankie.
“Like so many little girls, I used to take dance lessons when I was in primary school and I really love dancing but this is going to be so different from anything I have done with The Saturdays. I just can’t wait to get started!” she continued.
Frankie first rose to fame at the age of 12 as part of S Club Juniors and in 2007 joined The Saturdays.
Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to our screens next month and more celebrities will be revealed over the coming weeks.
