Coming back from the dead was never going to be easy and Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) found it harder than she could have ever imagined.
In the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars, Ali discovered that her mother Jessica (Andrea Parker) had been murdered as the episode drew to a close. Prior to that we saw each of the girls – Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) – trying to get to grips with having their friend back in their lives.
Aria was battling guilt over Shana’s (Aeriel Miranda) death whilst the other three girls were piecing together clues about Jessica’s whereabouts and Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) sudden return to town. There was also a confrontation between Mona (Janel Parrish) and Ali where the rivals looked set to go to war once again.
The next episode of the show, Surfing The Aftershocks, Alison struggles with the death of her mother while the other four girls, forced under Ali’s latest lie, try to piece together what happened in New York.
