Premiere date revealed for Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens – watch the title sequence

Good Omens will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 31st May 2019 it was announced today at the bi-annual Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour.

The news was revealed during a panel made up of showrunner and executive producer Neil Gaiman (American Gods), executive producer/director Douglas Mackinnon (Sherlock), and series stars Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) and David Tennant (Doctor Who).

The title sequence has been unveiled, which you can watch below:

The End of the World is coming, which means a fussy Angel (Michael Sheen) and a loose-living Demon (David Tennant) whoā€™ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware heā€™s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before itā€™s too late.

Good Omens is based on the beloved book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Alongside Sheen and Tennant the cast includes Jon Hamm, Frances McDormand, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Mireille Enos.

Good Omens will launch globally on Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories in 2019 including in the UK, where it will also air on BBC Two at a later date.
