Our Top 10 Nashville Juliette Barnes songs

We absolutely love Nashville and the less than stellar ratings in the US are worrying us that the show may not be back for a third season.

Fingers crossed that ABC do the right thing and bring it back for another year otherwise we’re going to have serious withdrawal from the amazing music. Our favourite songs on the show are always those by Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and they definitely get a work out on our iPod.

As the show is finally well underway for its second season in the UK, we’ve put together our Top 10 Juliette songs.

Be warned if you’re not up-to-date with the US run then there may be some spoilers and songs you might want to avoid. Keep reading to find out what made our list:

10. Telescope

One of the first songs Juliette performed in the show and definitely one of her most tween-appealing. The song has an inoffensive pop charm and was covered acoustically by Maddie and Daphne Conrad in the show.

9. Wrong Song

Juliette and Rayna were forced to team up on this classic and it saw them share number 1 glory in the show. We kind of want them to do another song together, and soon!

8. We Are Water

An emotional and honest song from Juliette. The song came about around the same time as her more mature efforts and it’s a catchy song with a greal vocal.

7. Yellin’ From The Rooftop

An uptempo country gem that is a bit more mature than the other songs Juliette performed during the show’s first season. It’s a got a real down and dirty country bassline that we just love.

6. Hypnotizing

This song has popped up a couple of times but it’s the acoustic version Juliette sange to Charlie Wentworth during season 2 that really grabbed our attention.

5. Trouble Is

Juliette tells the story of a wild night out and sounds feistier than ever. Think Carrie Underwood’s Last Name and you’re pretty much there.

4. Don’t Put Dirt On My Grave Just Yet

One of the newer songs of the bunch this was a key moment in season 2 when Juliette stuck her middle finger in the air to Edgehill Records CEO Jeff Fordham. At first it seemed like she’d made a mistake but it looks like her gutsy performance will reap lots of rewards.

3. Consider Me

As Juliette tried to find herself musically and mature, she teamed up with Deacon again on this gorgeous understated ballad. Pretty much perfection.

2. Nothing In This World Will Ever Break My Heart Again

Who did shed a tear when Juliette sang this during the season one finale? Packed with power and emotion as she dealt with the death of her mother it was one of the most moving moments of the season.

1. Undermine

The moment that Juliette sang this song with Deacon we knew it would become a favourite. It marked the first time Juliette moved away from the polished pop that she sang in the first few episodes of the show. The song was written by country star Kacey Chambers.

Nashville continues in the UK on More4 Thursdays at 10pm.
