Strictly Come Dancing has announced the addition of two new professional dancers to its line-up for the 2014 series as it waves goodbye to two popular dancers in the shape of Artem Chigvintsev and James Jordan.
We know you guys love Strictly and always want us to keep you updated with all the latest news so weāve done some digging to find out more about the showās two new professionals – Joanne Clifton and Tristan MacManus.
Keep reading to find out about them both as we give you a little overview of who youāll spending the autumn and winter nights with.
Joanne Clifton
Itāll come as no surprise, given her surname, that Joanne is the sister of 2013 new arrival Kevin Clifton. This marks the first time siblings have been on the professional dancer line-up in Strictly history.
Joanne is World Ballroom Showdance Champion and has competed in over 20 countries around the world. She has won numerous awards during her career to date and is a five-time British Champion, European Professional Champion and was recently crowned World Dancesport Games champion in Taiwan.
Not bad credentials we donāt think. Joanneās addition to the team also means that there will be 8 female professionals and 7 male professionals for the new series.
Tristan MacManus
Irish-born Tristan is no stranger to dancing on TV as he was a professional on Dancing With The Stars for three years. His dance partners have included Gladys Knight and Pamela Anderson.
Tristan began dancing in his hometown Bray, Co. Wicklow before he competed around Europe winning numerous juvenile, junior and amateur competitions.
In his career to date he has appeared in many stage shows including Dirty Dancing and Burn The Floor. Weāre expecting him to bring the luck of the Irish to the Strictly dance floor.
Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to BBC One and BBC One HD in September for its new series.
