Monty Pythonās classic 1989 album Monty Python Sings will be reissued on 9th June it has been confirmed.
Titled Monty Python Sings (again) the album will be released ahead of the comedy icons Monty Python Live (mostly) shows at Londonās O2 Arena. The album will be released on two remastered CD formats, both including a 32-page booklet of lyrics, and will contain brand new recordings, never-before-released gems and remixed Terry Gilliam cover artwork.
The deluxe edition box set also contains a bonus disc featuring their debut album Monty Pythonās Flying Circus which was recorded live at Camden Town Hall in May 1970.
One of the new songs is called Lousy Song and was originally recorded during sessions for the Monty Pythonās Contractual Obligation Album in 1980. Talking about the track Eric Idle says, āIt is the only totally improvised sketch I can rememberĀ Python doing. Graham (Chapman) enters the recording studio when Iām listening back to a song I have recorded. I think it is very funny.ā
A career-spanning box set entitled Monty Pythonās Total Rubbish: The Complete Collection will be released on 30th June. It features all nine of their UK albums and will be released on CD and vinyl.
