Modern Family saw Alex (Ariel Winter) leave home for college on the latest episode.
The plucky intelligent member of the Dunphy clan chose to go to college early so that Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) wouldn’t be available to take her. Instead Haley (Sarah Hyland) took charge and two sisters shared an unexpected moment of bonding.
Elsewhere in the episode Luke (Nolan Gould) reluctantly agreed to help Phil with an open house and the rest of the family tried to make up excuses so they didn’t have to attend Lily’s (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) soccer game.
The next episode of the season is The Closet Case. Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) accepts a much-needed job working for Jay’s (Ed O’Neill) rivals. Phil has major regrets after helping Haley to convince Claire to let Dylan (Reid Ewing) move in.
