Mel B has been named ‘The Queen of British TV’ by fashion magazine Ponystep.
The singer and X Factor judge appears in the Spring 2015 fashion collections for the magazine in a shoot with Nathan Jenkins. For the shoot Mel wore a wig and a variety of different styles.
Richard Mortimer, the editor of Ponystep says: ‘Mel B has been a revelation on The X Factor this year. Her forthright reputation preceding her, I was half-expecting a diva. The reality was quite different with Mel being a total pro, funny and easy to work with. What surprised me most was her willingness to embrace fashion and her eagerness to wear anything we asked. Slipping into poses as well as any fashion model, Mel’s 20 years in the industry were obvious as she turned it out for the photographer. Mel B ain’t scary, she’s a pussycat!’
A source says, “Mel absolutely adored the shoot. She has really discovered a new style by deciding on outfits for The X Factor live shows twice a week. It has re-ignited her passion for fashion in a big way.”
Mel B is coming to the end of her first year as a judge on The X Factor 2014 and she’s impressed viewers with her critiques. She’s formed a close bond with fellow judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and she’s not been afraid to disagree strongly with Simon Cowell.
