Louis Smith joins BBC’s new show Tumble

Louis Smith is to join the panel of BBC Oneā€™s new Saturday night entertainment show Tumble.

The Olympian and former Strictly Come Dancing star will join head judge Nadia Comaneci, Craig Heap and Sebastien Stella on the panel for the new gymnastics show. 10 celebrities will give show-stopping performances in the new six-part television series.

With the full backing of British Gymnastics and The National Centre for Circus Arts the judges/coaches will help the celebrities through a multitude of disciplines including tumbling, double trapeze, acrobatic gymnastics and trampolining.

Multi Olympic, World and European medal winning gymnast Louis Smith offered up these words for the intrepid celebrities: “When you commit to something you’ve got to do it because you want to win. It’s got to take over your life, your every waking moment.Ā  I also know how scary it is to be on a live Saturday night entertainment show, so I’ll definitely have a bit of empathy with the celebs on that!”

The show will also feature performances from the best in the world of British gymnastics and circus performers including Louis and Beth Tweddle. Beth will also serve as a mentor on the series.

Tumble will be presented by The One Showā€™s Alex Jones and is expected to debut in the summer.
