The first season of The Librarians kicks off in the UK on Monday and it promises to be your new favourite show.
The series is a spin-off from the TV movies of the same name that starred Noah Wyle as Flynn Carsen. Wyle does make appearances in the series but it mostly follows new characters and storylines over its 10 episode first season.
The Librarians centres around a secret organisation hidden in the depths of the Metropolitan Public Library. Charged with protecting the world from magical threats (among other terrifying and mysterious things), The Librarians must go to any lengths to keep the peace – and they’ve got their work cut out! They must solves impossible mysteries, fights supernatural nasties and recovers powerful artefacts, including the Ark of the Covenant, the Spear of Destiny and Excalibur.
The cast includes Rebecca Romijn, Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin, John Larroquette, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and Matt Frewer.
The first episode of the season is The Crown of King Arthur. Potential members of an ancient secret organisation are being killed off – Flynn Carsen and Colonel Eve Baird must save the three who remain.
