Keith Urban has been confirmed to return to American Idol when it returns in 2014.
Urban’s future on the show had been in doubt after fellow judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson all announced their departures from the show. The news was confirmed during the Television Critics Association Press Tour.
Rumours still suggest that Jennifer Lopez is close to signing a deal to return to the show. Other stars linked to the panel include Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert and Kelly Clarkson.
We’re glad that Keith’s returning as he really impressed us this year not only with his critique but also his ability to put up with feuding judges Mariah and Nicki. Maybe this season he’ll get a word in edgeways?
