Judy Murray leaves Strictly Come Dancing 2014

Judy Murray is the seventh celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2014.

After living on borrowed time for the past few weeks, Judy found herself in the bottom two after last night’s performance in Blackpool. Judy and her partner Anton Du Beke faced the dance-off against Sunetra Sarker and her partner Brendan Cole.

Both couples performed once again and then it was over to the judges to deliver their verdicts. All of the judges chose to save Sunetra and Brendan meaning that Judy and Anton were eliminated from the competition.

Once the result was announced Judy said, ā€œI was starting to think I was absolutely hopeless but I know am still not very good! Anton has treated everything with the most incredible sense of humour, he is great fun to be around and has made my Strictly experience very very special.ā€

Anton added, ā€œI am so excited and thrilled about the whole experience for Judy as she is such a big fan of the show and the fun that we have had has purely been because of Judyā€™s great sense of humour. She is such a warm spirit and character and personality and is such a great sport with such enthusiasm which made the whole thing enormous fun.ā€

During tonight’s results show Dame Shirley Bassey performed her classic Goldfinger and McBusted performed their new single Air Guitar.

Strictly Come Dancing 2014 continues at 7pm on Saturday, with the results show on Sunday at 7.15pm on BBC One. See all of the action from tonight’s results show in our gallery:
