Jodie Whittaker’s Trust Me coming to DVD in September

Four-part mini-series Trust Me, which recently aired on BBC One, is being released on DVD by Studiocanal on 18th September 2017.

The hospital drama comes from screenwriter Dan Sefton (The Good Karma Hospital) and stars Jodie Whittaker, who was recently unveiled as the first female Doctor Who.

In the series Whittaker stars as hard-working, idealistic nurse Cath Hardacre who sees her hospitalā€™s standards slipping and raises her concerns with the hospital trust. However, Cath is stunned when she loses her job for whistleblowing.

In order to provide for her young daughter, Cath is forced to take drastic measures. She steals her best friendā€™s identity as a doctor and begins a new life in Edinburgh as Dr. Ally Sutton.

Working at an emergency department on the brink of closure, Cathā€™s induction as an imposter doctor isnā€™t easy. But it is not long before she starts to enjoy the trappings that come with her new job and Cath soon finds herself falling for fellow doctor, Andy Brenner.

With her dream job and the perfect man, Cath buries herself in her imposter persona. Yet when her old life threatens to shatter her new existence, Cath finds herself going to increasingly desperate measures to cover up her lies.

Trust Me pulled in an average of 4.3 million viewers when it aired on BBC One and picked up plenty of critical acclaim.
