Jake Quickenden is the fifth act to leave The X Factor 2014.
The singer was voted off the show tonight during the results show following a sing-off with Only The Young. Louis Walsh, Cheryl and Simon Cowell all chose to send Jake home saying that they thought Only The Young had more potential to do well in the competition.
Jake has been criticised throughout the competition for not having the strongest vocals and Simon called his performance last night terrible.
When the result was announced judge Mel B burst into tears and struggled to hold it together when asked for her opinion on the verdict.
During tonight’s results show Ed Sheeran and OneRepublic performed their latest singles.
The X Factor 2014 continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
