Annalise (Viola Davis) decided to leave town and visit her mother at the end of the latest episode of How to Get Away With Murder.
After a drunken Laurel (Karla Souza) accused her of being responsible for Frank (Charlie Weber) killing Lila (Megan West), Annalise realised she needed to remove herself from the situation to gain perspective. Following the attack by Philip (Jefferson White), Annalise was confronted by Wes (Alfred Enoch) who wanted to know the truth about his mother.
Elsewhere in the episode the A.D.A. wanted to interrogate everyone about the videos Philip sent, Bonnie (Liza Weil) found out that Frank killed Lila on Sam’s (Tom Verica) orders, and Michaela (Aja Naomi King) had sex with Asher (Matt McGorry).
In the flashback Annalise and Eve (Famke Janssen) backed Wallace (Adam Arkin) into a corner when they realised he raped Rose (Kelsey Scott) meaning he was Wes’ biological father. Annalise was hit in a car accident and lost her baby.
The season finale is Anna Mae. As tension mounts, Annalise starts to crack under the stress and looks for a way out. Meanwhile, Wes draws ever closer to the truth.
