Heroes confirmed to return in 2015

The rumours about Heroes returning to the small screen were confirmed as true over night.

The Tim Kring series which originally aired from 2006-2010, will return in 2015 as a limited series containing 13 episodes. Last night during the Olympics coverage in the US, a short promo spot for the new series was aired.

The limited series is taking its lead from 24, which will return in the same format in May, and will be called Heroes: Reborn. At this point there are no details on plot or cast but it’s safe to assume we’ll see some familiar faces.

The original run of the show featured a star-studded cast including Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Milo Ventimiglia, Greg Grunberg, Masi Oka, Jack Colman, Ali Larter and Zachary Quinto. By the season four finale, the show has dropped from its peak of over 14 million viewers to 4.4 million in the US.

We’ll keep you posted as more news becomes available about Heroes: Reborn. Are you looking forward to the return of the show? Watch the promo spot below:
