Helix was unceremoniously pulled from Channel 5’s schedules back in February after under-performing in its timeslot but the show returns on 5* tonight.
Fans were left annoyed and disappointed when Channel 5 shunted the episode from its 10pm slot to a midnight slot for episode 6 of the first season titled Aniqatiga. It was then announced the show would be moving channels and going on hiatus until later in the year.
Well fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the show finally returns tonight on 5* at 10pm. The episode, titled Survivor Zero,Hatake’s (Hiroyuki Sanada) corporate patrons send an emissary called Constance Sutton (Jeri Ryan), who immediately makes it clear who is in charge. Meanwhile, Balleseros’s (Mark Ghanime) captor gives him a disturbing history lesson before they head back to the base.
The show has been recommissioned for a second season in the US but we’re not holding out a lot of hope that it’ll make it over to the UK after the way the first season has been treated.
