Call the Midwife star Helen George left Strictly Come Dancing 2015 tonight during the quarter final results show.
In the shock elimination Helen and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec found themselves in the bottom two with Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice. After both couples danced again it was over to the judges and they all opted to save Georgia and Giovanni.
Speaking to host Tess Daly about her time on the show Helen said, “I’ve just had the most amazing time, spending this time with Aljaž, he has been the most fantastic teacher but most of all friend, and also I am taking away a brilliant group of mates, who I want to see lots in the future and I love this!”
Aljaž said, “I absolutely loved every single week, you amazed me with the level of your professionalism, with the level of commitment to every single dance and it was a pure joy. Thank you so much.”
Tonight’s show featured a special music performance from Josh Groban and a spectacular group performance from the Strictly professional dancers with the cast of The Lion King.
Strictly Come Dancing 2015 continues at 6.50pm Saturday on BBC One.
