How To Get Away With Murder season 1 episode 5 We’re Not Friends preview

Uh oh! It was bad news for Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) in the latest episode of How To Get Away With Murder.

The end of the episode saw Annalise remove her wig and make-up before confronting her husband Sam (Tom Verica) about his true relationship with murdered student Lila. Full of rage she looked and him and uttered ‘why is your penis on a dead girl’s phone?’ leaving us with our jaws on the floor.

That’s right folks, the phone that Rebecca (Katie Findlay) hid in Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) apartment belonged to Lila and had evidence of the deceased’s relationship with Annalise’s husband Sam. Seems he’s not all that innocent after all?

The main storyline for the episode concerned an old friend of Annalises’ who was accused of fraud. Turns out it was three of her employees who were framing her and it was Connor (Jack Falashee) who discovered the deceit by getting up-close-and-personal with one of them. Sadly it wasn’t a happy ending for everyone and Connor’s conquest threw himself out of a window committing suicide to avoid prison.

In the flashforward Asher (Matt McGorry) showed up at the crime scene but remained unaware of Sam’s murder and Connor freaked out in the hallway of his boyfriend Oliver’s (Conrad Ricamora) apartment.

The next episode of the season is We’re Not Friends. Annalise picks up a difficult case defending a child who shot and killed his police officer father. Meanwhile, Annalise and Sam can’t see eye-to-eye.
