HBO have released the first teaser trailer for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.
Sadly there’s no new footage just yet. Instead we’re treated to a CGI sequence which shows Westeros being enveloped in ice and fire. From the north the ice creeps south it freezes the Stark direwolf and Targaryen dragon.
Meanwhile, fire makes it’s way up from the south. It burns through a Lannister lion before the ice and fire clash in the middle.

Game of Thrones season 8 is coming in April 2019. The season is expected to be just six episodes long and feature the most epic battle the series has ever seen.
