Family Guy character death shocker

Family Guy killed off one of its main characters last night during a new episode in the US. If you don’t want the show to be spoiled then stop reading now.

In last night’s episode, Life of Brian, Brian Griffin was killed off after being hit by a car. Fans were left hopeful at the prospect of Stewie using his time machine to reverse events but after dismantling it earlier in the episode he couldn’t save the dog.

Following Brian’s death the Griffins bought a new dog called Vinny, voiced by The Sopranos actor Tony Sirico. Vinny is believed to be a permanent replacement for Brian and is a rough-edged dog that is very different to his predecessor.

The episode split Family Guy fans with many tweeting #BringBackBrian and claiming that they will not longer watch the show.

We have to admit we’re really surprised by the death and we’re not entirely sure we’re happy about it either. Honestly we can’t imagine that the writers won’t find some way to bring Brian back in a future episode.

What do you think of the show’s decision to kill off Brian?
