X Factor star Ella Henderson has talked about her experiences of cyber-bullying.
The singer was being interviewed on ITV show Lorraine this morning, and revealed why she is heading a campaign to educate children and parents about staying safe online.
Ella said: “Coming from a show like The X Factor, it’s like you are trapped in an intense bubble and everywhere you go you have the papers following you, online, everywhere. And don’t get me wrong, things like Twitter – it’s incredible nowadays and I think nowadays the internet and things like Twitter, it’s the modern day version of connecting with people. And it can be incredible but you can come across your Twitter feed and you can go through 100 comments and 99 per cent of it could be really positive, but that one negative is the one that can stick in your mind.”
The sixteen year old is currently on The X Factor tour, and has recently signed a deal with Sony Music.
