The X Factor judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B will appear on the first of a new series of The Jonathan Ross Show tonight.
The appearance will mark Cheryl’s first interview since her surprise marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini earlier in the year. Opening up about how married life is treating her, Cheryl simply said, āitās greatā before adding that she remembers her anniversary because the date is ā7, 7, 14ā.
āSo youāre still in probably the honeymoon phase really?ā Jonathan asked. Cheryl agreed and Jonathan continued, āSo youāre not farting in front of each other yet?ā Laughing, Cheryl said: āI donāt do that anyway!ā
Jonathan asks Cheryl and Mel B what they thought about each other before they worked together. Mel admitted she had checked Cheryl out on the internet beforehand: āI peeped her a little bit because I wanted to see exactly what she was like, and she is like a strong, independent, gorgeous woman so I knew that Iād get on with her straight away. How can you not?ā
When Jonathan asked, āWhat do you mean you āpeepedā her?ā Mel clarified, āYou know, you Google and watch a few YouTube videos of interviews and stuffā before apologising to Cheryl, āSorry!ā āNo, thatās quite nice,ā Cheryl smiled, clearly content with Mel checking her out before.
Speaking about what she thought of Mel before they worked together, Cheryl said she felt like sheād grown up with her: āI already knew Mel, well I felt like I knew her because I grew up with her, watching the Spice Girls.ā And when asked, she was adamant that Mel was her favourite Spice Girl saying, āMel, obviously!ā
Other guests on tonight’s show include Steve Carell, Sir David Attenborough and Paolo Nutini.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs at 10.20pm straight after The X Factor tonight on ITV.
