Cheryl Cole will return to The X Factor it has been confirmed.
Ever since the Girls Aloud star was dropped from The X Factor US, rumours have been circulating that Cheryl would return to the UK version of the show. To date her only return has been to help former judge Gary Barlow mentor his contestants at the judges’ houses stage of the competition.
Cheryl confirmed the news on her Instagram account last night when she posted a picture of her and Simon Cowell. You can see the picture and her caption below:
Cheryl’s return to The X Factor will coincide with the release of her fourth solo album which is expected to be released in the autumn.
As of yet only Cheryl and Simon have been confirmed for this year’s X Factor panel. Gary Barlow confirmed he will not be returning and the fate of Nicole Scherzinger is undecided. Louis Walsh announced he would be retiring from the panel last year but rumours suggest that he could return to sit alongside Cheryl and Simon.
The fourth judge is to be confirmed but Dannii Minogue has already ruled out a return to the show.
