Sir Bruce Forsyth has died aged 89 it has been confirmed.
The veteran TV presenter and personality has been unwell for a long period of time and hasn’t been seen in public for some months. Concerns over Forsyth’s health started when he stepped down from Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 after presenting the show since 2004 alongside Tess Daly.
Originally Forsyth was expected to return for specials but his health prevented him from doing so.
Over the course of his career Forsyth established himself as a national treasure fronting shows such as The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and The Price is Right.
In 2013 Forsyth performed at Glastonbury, drawing huge crowds and critical acclaim.
Our thoughts go out to Sir Bruce’s family and friends at this difficult time.
