Britain’s Got Talent: Semi-Final Recap 2

Second semi-final tonight – lets recap who wowed the judges and who didn’t…

First up to try and earn a place In the final was lift act Martin and Marielle. They did their routine in a theme of a tango dance routine. Amanda Holden loved it, you could see just from her face. She said it was sexy and dynamic.

The second contestant was MckNasty, half DJ an half drummer and brother of singer Labrinth. This is one of the unique acts of the show, no one has seen anything like that before, What a good mix of tunes! David commented saying it was fresh. Simon also said he was a born entertainer also.

Third up was Jack and Cormac, the Irish duo. They sung their version of Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’ You could tell they were nervous but they battled through, and it’s a definite good and different version of the song, sung by the opposite sex.

Fourth up was Modupe from North London. Singing without her guitar this time. Singing another Justin Bieber song ‘Beauty and a Beat’. Simon was the only judge to buzz. He said that her performance was a bit dated and made her look ‘wannabeish.’

Meat Diva were up next. Kicking off their act with their impression of Elton John, with Cher next, and ended singing Meatloaf. David Walliams loved it and gave the couple a standing ovation. The judges thought it was entertaining.

Dance Troop MD was up next, they were on past shows back in 2007 and 2009. Can they bring back the fire from the past auditions? They danced to a mixture of Beyonce tracks and threw in Calvin Harris and Florence Welch. They were extremely synchronised and the audience were loving it, clapping along and cheering loud. David Walliams said it was fierce. Simon thought there was some weak members in the group.

Soul singer Alice Fredenham who also auditioned on the voice hoped to wow the judges tonight. She sung Michael Buble’s version of Cry Me A River. Alesha commented said that her voice was seductive. Simon also commented saying she had a voice like liquid platinum.

Jack Carroll, the 14 year old comedian. He had the whole audience laughing and cheering. All of the judges were laughing and smiling constantly too. He got a standing ovation from the audience and all the judges too. Simon thought his material was genius.

The final act was 14-year-old singer Gabz Gardiner. She sung her own song ‘The One’. The judges believed that her song could be a hit. Simon commented saying that the kids have taken over the show and he thought she could be a little pop star.
