Blue singer Simon Webbe has confirmed that he will be taking part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Hot-on-the-heels of yesterday’s Thom Evans announcement, Simon confirmed that he will be taking part during an interview this morning with ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
“I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started. I’m hopeful that Strictly Come Dancing will help me to improve on my daddy dancing skills. I want to make my daughter proud and no doubt she will be teaching me a pirouette or two along the way” said Simon.
Simon previously tested his dancing skills on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special in 2011, when he danced the cha-cha with professional partner Katya Virshilas.
He is best-known for being one quarter of British boyband Blue who reformed in 2009 and have represented the UK at Eurovision. The band also took part in ITV2’s Ā The Big Reunion.
Simon joins the previously announced Judy Murray, Frankie Bridge, Alison Hammond and Thom Evans.
