Gopal (Vicky Arora) was found dead after he failed to turn up on a boat with a gift for the Empress. Beecham was left devastated and angry, believing that Castillon (Grégory Fitoussi) was behind it but completely unaware that Samuel (Marc Warren) had betrayed him.
In his quest to find out what had happened, Beecham enlisted the help of Margaret (Dakota Blue Richards), who not only confirmed his suspicions but helped him locate where the missing gift for the Empress was. Beecham stole it back and presented it to the Empress, securing his future in Delhi.
That happy ending brought Beecham and Margaret closer and left Samuel sweating that he was going to be found out.
Elsewhere Chanchal (Shriya Pilgaonkar) gave in to her feelings for Daniel (Leo Suter) and the two slept together.
