The unravelling of Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) is coming thick and fast in the second season of Bates Motel.
The latest episode saw Norman filled with rage towards his uncle Caleb (Kenny Johnson) following the revelation that he was Dylan’s (Max Thieriot) and had repeatedly raped Norma (Vera Farmiga) when they were teenagers. Despite failing in his mission to kill Caleb, Norman grew closer to Cody (Paloma Kwiatkowski) in the aftermath after she picked up a near catatonic Norman at a diner.
Elsewhere the drug war escalated when Sheriff Romero’s (Nestor Carbonell) house was burned down by new drug boss Zane Carpenter (Michael Eklund), Norma grew closer to divorcee George Heldens (Michael Vartan) and Emma (Olivia Cooke) admitted she was ready to take the next step with Gunner (Keenan Tracey).
The next episode of the series is titled The Escape Artist. Norman lets Cody in on a family secret, Dylan gets caught up in Zane’s conflict, and Norma joins forces with a stranger in the anti-bypass campaign.
