Banshee season 2 – what to expect

Banshee proved to be one of the most surprising shows of 2013 when it debuted on Cinemax in the US and on Sky Atlantic here in the UK.

If you haven’t seen season one or don’t like spoilers stop reading now so we don’t ruin any of Banshee for you.

Telling the story of an unnamed drifter (Antony Starr), Banshee takes place in a fictional Pennsylvanian town. After serving 15 years in prison for stealing diamonds from Ukranian gangster Mr. Rabbit (Ben Cross), the drifter travels to Banshee and assumes the identity of the sheriff. There he finds his former accomplice and lover Anastasia (Ivana Milicevic) who is living under a new identity with her husband and children. Whilst trying to stay hidden from Mr. Rabbit, the drifter also has to keep local crimelord Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen) at bay.

At the end of the first season the body of Lucas Hood, the actual sheriff of Banshee, was found threatening to cause havoc for the drifter.Ā  There was also a pretty violent showdown between Anastasia and Mr. Rabbit.
