In true Strictly Come Dancing fashion, a shock exit has taken place during the week 7 results show.
Former JLS star Aston Merrygold and his partner Janette Manrara became the sixth couple to leave the ballroom tonight. The couple found themselves in the bottom two with Mollie King and Aj Pritchard, and had to participate in the dance-off.
Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas chose to save Mollie and AJ, and Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Aston and Janette. Shirley got the final say as Head Judge, so Aston and Janette were sent home.
Talking about his time on the show Aston said: āHonestly, every second of this, Iāve had friends who have done the show before and theyāve gone āyouāre going to have the most amount of fun from start to finish whatever it isā and honestly they werenāt lying! Everything, from this lady to every single person in here, these four judges, yourself, Claudia, all you amazing lot up there that I get to see and spend so much time with. Iāve made some amazing friends and honestly Iāve had the best time, itās been amazing.ā
Janette added: āI just have to say, honestly I donāt think that I am ever going to have the opportunity to dance with someone like you again. Someone who is so talented, so lovely, such a good friend and I just have to say thank you. Thank you, he is one of the most talented individuals I have ever met. You have so much to offer to the world of entertainment and I hope that this is just a small pebble to what youāre going to bring the world because you are amazing. Youāre amazing.ā
