The final series of American Idol will air on 4Music, part of The Box Network, in the UK it has been confirmed.
Starting 11th January 2016, the show will kick off with a two-night event as the farewell season begins. Ryan Seacrest will return as host with Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. reprising their judging roles.
The final season will begin with the auditions, which are sure to bring plenty of surprises. Ahead of the show airing a video has been released showing Kanye West auditioning for the judges with his wife Kim Kardashian in tow to support him. West performs his song Gold Digger at the San Francisco auditions but will he make it through to Hollywood? You can watch the clip at the bottom of this article.
Over its run American Idol has produced big global stars such as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert.
